SDMC to slap professional tax, hikes two levies

The cash-strapped South Delhi Municipal Corporation is going to hit the residents of south Delhi with a triple whammy — professional tax, an effective hike in property tax on commercial properties by tweaking one of the factors in the formula, and another hike of 1% on transfer of property.
