The Supreme Court has questioned the validity of the LG's decision to invoke Section 487 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act regarding the election for the sixth member of the MCD Standing Committee. Mayor Shelly Oberoi contested the election results, alleging undue interference in the democratic process.
