Experts study possibility of vaccinating 12-14 age group

Deliberations are on to expand the Covid vaccination programme to cover youngsters of 12-14 years of age though the decision will be governed by scientific evidence, health officials said on Thursday as coverage of first dose of jabs climbed over 53% among adolescents of 15-17 years. Meanwhile, the uptake of precaution dose or boosters continued to be moderate as many health and frontline workers got infected during the latest surge.
