J&K lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha has said that peace is becoming a permanent feature in the union territory, from Srinagar’s Lal Chowk to India's Red Fort, while inaugurating three projects of the Smart City in Srinagar. Sinha criticized those who enforced strikes and said development had been choked in the region for years, with benefits going only to "conflict profiteers.
