Rescue hopes pinned on vertical drilling operation

After the Silkyara tunnel collapsed, the rescue agencies are employing a multi-pronged approach to save 41 workers. Vertical drilling is considered the fastest way to reach the stranded workers, with preparations underway for the drilling exercise. Additionally, rescue agencies are exploring using a micro drone to assess the feasibility of creating a lifeline for the workers. Now, the PMO has taken charge of the rescue operations and announced a five-pronged strategy.
