EC gets rolling for 2024, starts with paper trail machines

A senior EC functionary told TOI that the poll panel ordered 3.4 lakh VVPATs to be sent back between February and August 2022 to Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), the two PSUs that exclusively manufacture VVPATs, for "preventive maintenance" tasks T1-T4.
