In first crackdown on ‘new Jamtara’, police raid 300 locations, detain 125

An area that has gained notoriety as ‘new Jamtara’ for being one of the epicentres of cyber fraud in the country got its first major shakedown this week with Haryana Police detaining 125 suspects over Thursday and Friday. The raids at 300 locations in 14 villages of Nuh were its largest field operation against cybercrime, carried out by 102 police teams involving more than 5,000 cops.
