R-Day: Kartavya Path out of bounds for 3-4 weeks

The government has started full-fledged preparations for the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path, the revamped and renamed Rajpath. However, unlike earlier times when the entire stretch and all its lawns used to be closed for nearly two-and-a-half months, this time it may be out of bounds for public for a maximum of 3-4 weeks, thanks to the new seating arrangement that the Central Public Works Department has brought in for this celebration at the heart of the national capital.
