The residents argue that the rail authorities arbitrarily altered the alignment to include a viaduct that would pass through their colony, affecting their properties. The Delhi High Court rejected their concerns, stating that public interest takes precedence over individual property rights. The residents plan to approach the Supreme Court to seek protection of their legal rights.
