Why is traffic likely to increase on Dwarka e-way's SPR?

The completion of the Dwarka Expressway in Gurgaon is eagerly awaited by residents of new sectors. However, the redevelopment plan for the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) is yet to take off after four years of planning. Once the expressway is operational, traffic on SPR is expected to increase, leading to concerns about accidents and congestion. Multiple proposals for the redevelopment of SPR have been made, but no concrete action has been taken. The GMDA has now prepared a rough estimate for special repairs on the road to provide immediate relief to commuters.
